Hope you had a wonderful holiday season and are ready to face the new year. This will be an interesting one for sure.
The Democratic Committees of Farmington and Milton will be meeting at 6:30 PM in the Emma Ramsey Center in Milton on Thursday, January 9th.
Town Elections are coming up in March, and candidate filing will be open this month, so we need to talk about candidates and helping get some folks elected.
We also may have some visitors to the meeting, so you might want to make sure you mark your calendars and attend our meetings this year.
Cinde Warmington and Craig Thompson are both running for Executive Council in District #2. They have reached out and have been invited to attend the meeting, if they are available.
We also had few presidential campaigns reach out. Representatives from the Bernie Sanders, Amy Klobuchar, and Andrew Yang campaigns have all reached out and asked about our meetings as well. They have also been invited to attend.
Last month, we had our holiday meeting at Pizza Nook in Milton. We had some good festive conversations and some great pizza! Conversations at this meeting centered on finding good candidates for our town boards and officials, which has been hard for both our towns.
