Programs and actions in which the committee participates or sponsors include:
· On April 24, 2012, the DDC sponsored the FDR dinner. This is an annual dinner to bring Democrats together to discuss local issues; hear candidates and elected officials; and enjoy a great dinner. The dinner is also a fundraiser for the committee to provide assistance to local candidates.
· On Tax Day, April 17 2012, members of the committee participated in a visibility in Lower Square to protest tax inequities and support the President’s Tax Fairness proposal.

The DDC assists local campaigns to help elect local Democrats to the NH legislature
· Members of the DDC participate in the End 68 Hours of Hunger program to help underprivileged children in the Dover schools.
· Members of the DDC also assist the local Organizing For America grassroots organization to re-elect the President.

The DDC works with the Strafford County Democratic Committee, the New Hampshire Democratic Committee and individual campaigns to get out the vote for Democratic candidates at every level on the ballot. DDC officers are elected by registered Democrats in Dover. They lead the Dover Democratic Caucus, a group of Dover residents who are elected to serve as officers of the city’s six wards or at-large delegates. The Caucus represents the town as delegates to the biennial state Democratic convention. This year’s convention is on June 2, 2012 at Memorial High School in Manchester.
