HB 383, Right-To-Work For less Bill And HB 1645 To Dissolve Employees’ Union

Today one Senate committee will decide whether to reject Speaker O’Brien’s continued assault on our rights.

Members of the Senate Commerce Committee will hear testimony on the new right-to-work for less bill and two other anti-labor bills: HB 383, a so-called right-to-work bill for state employees, and HB 1645, which takes the unprecedented step of allowing employers to dissolve their employees’ union.

This is your last chance to speak out against these bills. If you or your friends and neighbors want to make your voices heard, please join us in Concord on Wednesday and Thursday. Stop by the America Votes office at 8:00 a.m. to check in and grab coffee before heading to the statehouse.

We are also phone-banking members and asking them to call their Senators on Wednesday night from 5-8 p.m. If you can’t make it to the lobby days on Wednesday or Thursday, please join us at the Plumbers and Pipefitters Hall at 161 Londonderry Turnpike in Hooksett.

Even if you can’t make it to any events, our Senators need to hear from you. Please, take three minutes today or tomorrow to call your state Senator and urge them to oppose right-to-work and other anti-worker bills. You can reach all Senators’ offices through the Statehouse switchboard at 271-1110.

Showing our Senators just how wrong these bills are is our best hope for stopping Speaker O’Brien in his tracks. Please take action today!

In solidarity,
the New Hampshire AFL-CIO
