Farmington Education Forum - Wednesday, August 7th, 6:30 PM, Farmington High School Library The Farmington Teachers Association and the Farmington Education Support Professionals United are sponsoring a discussion about the state budget and school funding.

John Tobin will be there to educate Farmington-area people about how we fund education and get them to contact their legislators and ask them to support education in the state budget. The Farmington education taxes are high and the spending per pupil is a little below average because of the State’s reliance on local property taxes to pay for most of the cost of public K-12 education. This information along with a few comparisons to property-wealthy towns with much lower tax rates and higher school spending will be discussed.

All are invited to attend!
