Last week, the NH Senate Commerce Committee amended the "Right-to-Work" Redux bill (HB1677) so that it is now the identical twin of HB474 - the so-called "Right-to-Work" legislation we fought so hard to defeat in 2011. Here are 3 things you can do to help stop the return of "Right-to-Work:"
The full Senate is expected to vote on HB1677 and other anti-worker legislation on Wednesday, April 11. Please help us remind our state Senators that we need them to stand with working families, and stop attacking New Hampshire's middle class - join the Protect NH Families team in Concord on Wednesday, April 11, for our next Citizen Lobby Day (9:00 AM - details are provided below).
If you can't make it to the State House on Wednesday, please consider attending a Protect NH Families local organizing meeting in your area. These meetings are an opportunity to learn more about the 2012 campaign to support New Hampshire's middle class and find out how you can take action to help us defeat the Tea-Party driven political agenda to destroy worker's rights. Dates and locations of upcoming local organizing meetings are listed below – please RSVP if you are planning to attend.
If you're a Granite State business owner who supports New Hampshire's middle class, please stand up for working families by signing our 2012 Business Supporter petition (you can sign the new petition even if you signed on last year). You can sign online at http://www.protectnhfamilies.org/business_petition/, or email judy@protectnhfamilies.org for more information.
